Week 5

WEEK FIVE WEIGHT: 240
Pounds lost: 1 lb.
Inches lost: 4 1/4 ins.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 16 lbs.
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 18 1/4 ins.

This week I was not able to get into the gym as much as I would have liked since my daughter was sick all week. Turns out she had a mild pneumonia. She was out of school all week, and to the doctor several times for check ups. My attention was directed more on her this week then on losing weight. So needless to say, I was not working out all week like I could have been. But I did make it to the gym one day when my boyfriend was home with the kids. Thankfully, she is feeling better, so this next week I am going to have to step it up in the gym!

On another note, my confidence level is boosting more and more every day! I have people that I haven't seen in weeks telling me how great I look. They notice a difference in me. I can see a difference in the way my clothes fit. Its a great feeling!!!

So that's it for this week! Tune in next week for the continuing coverage of my fat ass melting away!!!

Week 4

WEEK FOUR WEIGHT: 241 lbs.
Pounds lost: 5 lbs.
Inches lost: 5 ins.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 15 lbs.
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 14 ins.

So when I started this journey, I made a goal for myself to try to lose 3 lbs. per week. Well since I gained back 1 lb. last week, I tried to lose 7 lbs. this week. 1 lb. to make up for the one I gained, 3 lbs. to make up for what I did not lose last week, and then 3 lbs. for this week.

Well I started out great, the 1st 3 days I worked out every day, and lost a pound a day for the 1st 3 days of the week. Then my daughter got sick on Friday and I was more concerned about trying to get her better then going to the gym.

However, regardless of her being sick and me not getting back to the gym for the last 4 days of the week, I still lost weight.

I have just been feeling really incredible. My energy level is increasing, my self confidence is increasing. All around, I just feel great!

This week I reached my first goal! I reached my 10% weight loss.

Stay tuned next week for the continuing coverage of my fat ass melting away... :)

Week 3

WEEK THREE WEIGHT: 246 lbs.
Pounds gained: +1
Inches lost: 3/4 ins.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 10 lbs.
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 8 1/2 ins.

This week was a little harder for me. Well, not entirely. My week started out great! I took a yoga class which was very relaxing. I even exercised in my living room while watching the Biggest Loser on TV. My 9 year old was pretending she was my trainer... it was so cute!

Friday we left for the Poconos for the weekend and I went prepared with my weight watcher meals and my 100 Calorie snacks on hand. I was determined to stick to my plan and not eat any of the yummy food they were planning on bringing. Well, I was good for the most part. I did eat my meals for lunch and dinner. However, I did “taste” a few of the snacks like the spinach dip and taco dip (which are like my all time favorite ever and very hard to resist!) and the buffalo chicken dip. I was proud of myself because I didn’t even go over my points all weekend, even with snacking on the totally delicious, yet not so good for me, snacks! Then after a long drive home and a starving family, we decided to order pizza and wings for dinner on Sunday night instead of cooking. Unfortunately for me, I had no more weight watcher meals in the house. So I ate a slice of pizza and 3 wings with like 10 french fries. Well maybe that wasn’t the best idea on my part because all of my "cheating" threw me off this week. I guess my body doesn't want me to eat all those really yummy snacks. I should have had a little more self control, but I'm not too disappointed in my results. It was expected.

Stay tuned in next week for the continuing coverage of my fat ass melting away!

Week 2

WEEK TWO WEIGHT: 245 lbs.
Pounds lost: 2 lbs.
Inches lost: 2 ins.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 11 lbs.
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 7 3/4 ins.

Week 2 I found out that there are soo many different kinds of food that I can eat so I don't feel like I am completely starving myself. For me, this makes it so much easier because I love to snack and I love snack food! Well thank God for 100 calorie packs and the various weight watchers desserts (Brownie a la mode is my all time favorite now!). This way I can have a little taste and not feel deprived of the foods I love to eat, which will help me stick to my point system longer! The diets I have been on in the past I felt so deprived of snacks and I caved so quickly. Not this time though.

Stay tuned in next week for the continuing coverage of my fat ass melting away!

Week 1

STARTING WEIGHT: 256 lbs.

WEEK ONE WEIGHT: 247 lbs.
Pounds lost: 9 lbs.
Inches lost: 6 ins.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 9 lbs.
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 6 ins.

I started this journey on 1/20/09 just sick of being fat, wanting a change, NEEDING a change. It was like a switch just flicked in my brain that enough was enough! Today was the day!

This week was definately full of ups and downs. The 1st 3 days sucked so bad! I constantly felt hungry and I was miserable because of it!! I am such an emotional eater and because I was so upset that I was hungry and I couldn't eat whatever I wanted, it made me want to eat even more! But I prayed to God and he listened to me and really took all my weakness from me and replaced it with a kick ass attitude!

Tune in next week for more on the continuing coverage of my fat ass melting away!!! :)
